If you hang out on TikTok, Amund Pettersen (22) is a person who may have quickly appeared in your feed.
His account has grown enormously in recent months, after he launched the “Reality bottle”.
The man from Løten, who is now studying in Oslo, tells Dagbladet that he got an idea to write what he believes is the truth about what should be on the “Motivation Bottle”. A well-known productin the form of a drinking bottle that shows how much water one should have drunk, at what times.
Next to the times on the motivation bottle, there are also motivational words such as “keep focus” and “good job”. In August, Amund decided to make a slightly different version of the bottle, which turned out to be a hit.
This is what is written on the reality bottle:
Stand up, you ugly fucker
Another day to fail completely
The crack is coming, just wait
Hang on, you fucking loser
Has anyone told you that you are ugly?
It was empty there, new opportunities tomorrow to have a hell of a time
– I did this just for fun in a TikTok video, with words that should actually motivate, but also reflect feelings you might actually have. I was thinking of deleting the video, if it didn’t go well. But…
The Easterner have previously discussed the matter.
We go to the beach
He posted the video and went straight to Gran Canaria. Amund has been using TikTok for a long time, and had no idea that this particular video about the reality bottle would change his life.
Watch the video below here:
Sipping a drink on the beach in the heat, he suddenly sees that the video has received over 500,000 viewers, and that the comment field is filled with people who want him to turn the bottle into a product that can actually be sold.
– The planning started on holiday right away. A new video I posted from Granca about me making the bottle went more viral than the previous one, and then it was just a matter of getting started, says Amund.
Several hundred in line
He produced a hundred bottles, and posted a video that he was going to sell them at a stand at Karl Johan after returning home from holiday.
When he arrived at the stand, there were 200 people queuing who wanted a reality bottle.

– I almost got a little stressed, it became much more popular than I thought. The reason is probably the same as the one my friends have given me. The truth is that more people can relate to reality with this, and get motivation, and perhaps a bit of humor from it, says Amund.
At the moment, the 22-year-old sells the bottles by the hundreds at a time, but they sell out in minutes when he puts the quota up for sale.
– Buys only branded clothes
Community involvement: Violence among young people
The reality bottle has led to him becoming a well-known profile on TikTok. Lötensokningen has realized that he can use the platform as a mouthpiece to talk about things other than his company. Socially relevant topics that he believes are important, and which have given rise to several articles on NRK P3 their websites, which are about violence at a young age.
– I think there is so much more violence among young people in Norway today. About blind violence, with the use of weapons, and more serious injuries, says Amund.
– Seized knuckle bars and gun
He wonders where the respect we humans should have for each other has become.
Amund asks, among other things, whether parents are to blame for the extreme youth violence.
Big increase
In August, Dagbladet obtained detailed access to reports on people under 18 in Oslo for the first half of 2023. The figures show an explosive increase in violence committed by children in the capital.
Explosion of violence among children in Oslo
In all categories of violence, the increase is around 40 per cent in 2023 from the average of the years 2017-2019. 2019 was also a year with a very large increase in the number of reports from previous years, but 2023 is far above 2019 in all categories of violence except violence against public servants where it is equal.
Police chief Ida Melbo Øystese in Oslo then wrote a chronicle in Police Forum where she sounded the alarm about the development of crime among children in the capital.
In May, Education Minister Tonje Brenna put forward a proposal that teachers should be given the statutory right to use physical force against students to prevent someone from being injured.
Food shortage: – It is heartbreaking
The reason is that teachers across the country are in several situations where pupils at school can harm themselves or others.
Concerned about those he cares about
Amund cannot understand that we have come to this point, and therefore talks about the topic of youth violence.
– Does this make you think it’s scary to travel out in the city?
– No, not for me. But I will be for those I care about. It’s annoying, because it’s an unnecessary thing to worry about, he says.
