Paul Verhoeven introduced his film Showgirls in 1995. The famous director invited Kyle MacLachlan, Elizabeth Berkley and other artists to the film, and the plot of the tape tells about a stripper who dreams of conquering Las Vegas.

Ordinary viewers liked the difficult story of the dancer Nomi, and in the plot they were able to detect philosophical overtones. As a result, today the picture is considered a cult. It is also one of the most famous films of the author of Basic Instinct and RoboCop.
