As artificial intelligence begins to make its way into our daily lives more and more, it’s no surprise that scammers are now taking advantage of this.
Avast reports that scammers have been using AI chatbots to chat with victims and generate real conversations. Of course, fake profiles on dating platforms are nothing new, but new technology has made it harder to tell whether you’re talking to a real person.
Apps said to be affected by this new scam include Ashley Madison, Badoo, Bumble, Craigslist, DuyenSo, Facebook Dating, likeyou.vn, MeetMe, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Tagged, Tinder, and Zoosk.
