Kilmer is a “granfluencer,” a retiree who shares his life with others online in an informative and helpful way. The term is made up of the English words “grandparents” and “influencer”.

He encourages other seniors to also get into the “business” if they have a particular passion.
“If someone has knowledge that others can benefit from and they want to share it, that’s what the Internet was designed for,” Kilmer said.
