The report also found that digital detoxing and reducing spending will be consumers’ top New Year’s resolutions. This comes at a time when Gen Z consumers are prioritizing their mental health over their physical health.
However, more than half of young consumers will buy impulsively and 60% will regret it.
Marketing B2C
When it comes to B2C marketing, Forrester highlights that nine out of ten U.S. consumer brands will mute communications related to social justice and ESG.
Finally, “generative AI experience” is included in 20% of new CMO job descriptions.
By mid-year 2023, 80% of B2C marketers in the United States indicated they were exploring or using generative AI, according to Forrester. If 2023 was the year of exploring generative AI, 2024 will be the year of experimenting with generative AI.
