Roxana Castellanos recalled that years ago, after leaving Otro Rollo and beginning to make her way on her own, she received an unseemly proposal from a follower. She highlighted that around that time the character ‘Deyanira Rubí’ became quite popular and one day, through her manager, she received the strangest proposal of her career:

“I was just a few years old doing ‘Deyanira’ and suddenly (her manager) spoke to me: ‘Hey, one of the girls who were models for La Hora Pico asked me for your phone number.’ I told him ‘what’s the point, since you’re my manager, let them give it to you.’”

The interest in obtaining his number was to propose a ‘business’ to him. Castellanos said that, after thinking about it for a long time, his manager finally confessed to him that a man offered to pay $50,000 to spend an afternoon with ‘Deyanira Rubí’ at a house in San Ángel. The fan was even willing to pay the actress’s entire team and have them be present.

Despite the condition, Roxana Castellanos opposed meeting, especially because the fan made it clear that he only intended to live with the character: “I want to meet Deyanira. I’m not interested in the actress, I don’t even know what her name is, I want Deyanira to come be with me and eat,’” she recalled what her manager told her.

And he continued: “I didn’t accept them because I said, let’s see, I’ll give the old man the ticket and what if then the old man was a bastard (with his hands he alludes to a weapon) and after a while no, I’m going to pay him 10 thousand and that Come right now and I’ll take it.”

His confession surprised Karla Díaz and her colleagues in Cuéntamelo ya!, Dalilah Polanco and Bárbara Islas, but there was more. When asked by the JNS member, Castellanos responded that she has had boyfriends who, in private, have asked her to characterize herself and speak as ‘Deyanira Rubí’, something to which she has also opposed: “It makes me laugh, imagine that I am with my boyfriend and suddenly ‘there you go, you have left the soap’. Not because Deyanira is super cool, my boyfriends do ask me for it, but no guys, pay for it,” he said with a laugh.
