Anti-war activists in the Russian Federation continue to wage a guerrilla war against the railway, on which the military logistics of the aggressor country still depends.
About 17 months ago, for the first time, Russian media reported cases of sabotage on the railway in the Russian Federation by local partisans and activists. Over time, this problem still remains relevant for the Kremlin.
Today, November 8, at press service The British Ministry of Defense announced the main theses on the situation with the “rail war” on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Journalists from the opposition Russian media “Mediazona” report that as of October 2023, 76 criminal cases regarding sabotage on the railway were transferred to the courts of the Russian Federation. 137 people have already been brought to justice, most of whom are under 25 years old.
Since the beginning of 2023, inscriptions on criminal liability for sabotage and entrustment of property have been placed on all key Russian Railways facilities. The text also says that the saboteur faces up to life imprisonment.
The military logistics of the Russian Federation still depends on the railway, which is more than 33 thousand km long.
Since virtually all methods of open dissent are prohibited in Russia, sabotage continues to attract young people as a method of protest against the SVO.
We previously reported that the SBU detained a Russian spy who was preparing a series of attacks on the railway in the Vinnitsa area.
Let us recall that Zhdanov explained why Ukraine is not waging a “rail war” with the Russian Federation and does not destroy the paramilitary echelons of the invaders.
