“The Rise and Success of The Script: From Debut Single to International Hitmakers”

The Script

The Script was founded in 2001 by Mark Sheehan, lead singer Danny O’Donoghue and drummer Glen Power. The Script’s debut single is doing particularly well in its own country, but it is already an international hit with the second song. The Man Who Can’t Be Moved scores airplay all over Europe and, together with the self-titled debut album from 2008, ensures the breakthrough. Later they also score hits with Breakeven, If You Could See Me Know and Hall Of Fame together with Will.I.Am.

The band played twice in Ziggo Dome last June as part of their Greatest Hits Tour. This year The Script would perform at Pinkpop on June 17. It is not yet known whether this performance and other performances will continue.
