“The Rise and Fall of Igor Shavlak: How One Film Ruined a Career”

Lost everything at once.

In the critical era of perestroika, many bright actors appeared. Among them, the handsome blond Igor Shavlak, who made his debut from the disaster film “Train Out of Schedule”, stood out in particular. However, his career did not work out in the future, and one picture was to blame.

Shavlak was a fairly sought-after actor. He played a major role in the movie “Black Arrow”, and also appeared in the films “Ghoul Family”, “Defeat” and in other projects. Igor Eduardovich also tried himself as a director and shot several films, including “Hunting Season” and “Treasures of the Dead.”

However, in the 2000s, Shavlak suddenly left the world of cinema. His career was ruined by directing, namely the film “Lineman”. Igor Eduardovich wanted to make a horror film about a maniac who pursues victims. He borrowed a crazy amount of money from a private person and started filming.

However, the ambitious project failed. The film did not pay off at the box office, it was also criticized by the audience because of the weak plot and sham special effects – today it is unlikely that anyone will watch this. But this is not the most important thing. The director was never able to repay his debt and decided to flee the country. It is known that now 60-year-old Shavlak is alive and sometimes gets in touch with his daughter. But no one knows in which country the former sex symbol of perestroika is hiding.
