The statement by the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, regarding thehandsome leader can’t work‘ is still an enigma. It is not yet known who the handsome leader who can’t work is meant Mrs. Maharani.
Puan made this satire statement when giving a speech at the event at the Wonogiri PDIP DPC office, Tuesday (26/4/2022). In her speech, Puan saw that nowadays not a few people choose leaders from being handsome or fun on social media (socmed).
“Why am I saying this? Sometimes now we like ‘yo weslah he’s just handsome, he’s the only one who’s chosen as long as he’s not a woman, yo wes he’s just not an iso opo-opo but the important thing is that he’s on social media, on TV It’s fun’, but then I can’t work, I’m not close to the people,” he said.
Indeed, there were a number of parties who reacted to Puan’s statement. However, the response that appears is only speculation.
The Democrat Party and the volunteer Ganjar Pranowo (GP) Mania were the parties who reacted to the statement by Megawati Soekarnoputri’s daughter. The Democrats believe that the leader that Puan is referring to is not their general chairman, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY). Meanwhile, GP Mania is just the opposite.
GP Mania even believes that the leader that Puan insinuated is the presidential candidate for GP Mania, namely the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo. The chairman of GP Mania, Immanuel Ebenezer or Noel, said that the statement ‘handsome leaders don’t work’ was an attack on Ganjar.
“What was conveyed was self-criticism to Mas Ganjar. It was clearly the target of shooting at Mas Ganjar,” said Immanuel or Noel to reporters, Thursday (28/4/2022).
