The leaders of the list of Latvian millionaires are the owners of “Rietumu banka” and the liquidated “ABLV Bank”, according to the publication “Millionaire” created by “Dienas verslo” and “Lursoft”.
Daiga Kiopa, a member of the Board of Lursoft IT, explained that Arnis Riekstins, the co-owner of Mikrotīkla, the leader of the list of previous years, is not included in this year’s list, because this company, like many others, had not submitted its 2019 reports by mid-November this year.
Thus, the leader of the list of Latvian millionaires this year is Leonid Esterkin, co-owner of Rietumu Bank, whose wealth is estimated at 151 million euros.
The second and third place is shared by the co-owners of the liquidating ABLV Bank – Oleg Fil, whose wealth is estimated at 144 million euros, and Ernests Bernis, whose wealth is estimated at 126 million euros.
Arkady Suharenko, co-owner of Rietumu Bank, is in the fourth place in the list of the richest people in Latvia, and his wealth is estimated at 81 million euros. In fifth place is the sole owner of the sawmill “AKZ” Uldis Asars with a wealth worth 75 million euros.
Among the ten richest people in Latvia are also Jānis Zuzāns, Chairman of the Board of SIA “Alfor”, whose wealth is estimated at 74 million euros, followed by real estate entrepreneur Justs Nikolajs Karlsons with a property value of 73 million euros, Ivo Zonne with a wealth of 58 million euros, “Industra Bank “Chairman of the Council Jurijs Adamovičs with 50 million euros and Chairman of the Board of the road construction company AS” ACB “Valdis Lejnieks with 44 million euros.
