Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The richest person in Indonesia, according to the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, will donate several venues for the former XX PON event to the Papua Regional Government (Pemda). That person was none other than the Director General of State Assets Rionald Silaban.
Rionald, who is in charge of managing all state assets, provided grants to Papua in the form of assets with a value of Rp 1.3 trillion. There are at least eight places that are given free of charge to the local government of Papua.
“There are 8 temporary grants, approximately Rp 1.3 trillion. There are aquatic, Istora, cricket, and others. We will submit these and have processed them,” said Director of State Property (BMN) DJKN Ministry of Finance, Encep Sudarwan in a virtual discussion, Friday (8/10/2021).
Currently, the process of granting building assets to Papua is just waiting for the Decree (SK) to be issued. If it is out, the eight venues will belong to the Papuan government.
Encep explained, it is possible that there will be additional assets donated by the government to Papua. However, he emphasized that the Papuan Government should maintain and care for the State Property Assets (BMN) properly.
“So that the local government can maintain, the facilities will be more complete, the public interest will be served, and support the economy. We hope the local government can maintain it well because it is for grant,” he explained.
The eight venues for the former Papua XX PON event that will be donated are:
1. Area aquatik
2. Istora Papua Rise
3. Cricket arena and hockey arena
4. Kampung Harapan area
5. New Doyo Area
6. Archery and rowing skate area
7. Jayapura area drainage system
