I think it will happen one day», confessed Rodrigo, in a hope shared by Martim: «It would be a dream come true! Let’s hope it happens.”

Not only in the shirt they wear but in the reference they both wear: Cristiano Ronaldo. «He’s our idol and he’s an example for everyone», revealed Rodrigo Ribeiro, who gave his brother some ‘tips’ on how to get into the A team squad: «Firstly, at your age, you have to have fun, be happy, work and make your way. Then, as you get older, you take on more responsibilities. From then on you are at a level where you have to take this seriously, go to school. You have to be happy and have fun”, said the Lions forward, reinforcing the importance of playing for a big club like Sporting:
«We have to know how heavy it is to wear the Sporting shirt when we enter the field, whether in team A, team B, under-19s, under-14s or under-15s. Everyone who plays for Sporting has to know that it is a huge weight, a responsibility. For you, as you are younger and as you deal with kids your age, it is an even greater responsibility.”
Rodrigo Ribeiro, on the occasion, still remembered his debut with the Leonine jersey. On March 9, 2022, in a duel against the giants Manchester City.
«It’s a moment that all young people at Sporting want. It was a dream, a feeling of great happiness for the family. A pride. All that remains is to continue,” he recalled.
