The Rhône avoids confinement on weekends

Jean Castex and Olivier Véran, will speak this Thursday at 6 p.m. to provide an update on the pandemic. What to expect

The first objective of the executive remains to avoid as much as possible local or total reconfinement. As a reminder, last week the government placed 20 departments under reinforced surveillance, and it would seem that the Rhône is one of the territories that will escape containment at the weekend, which is not the case of Pas-de-Calais. .

Even if the Rhône escapes this confinement, for now, several measures should be taken to curb the spread of Covid-19:

  • A drop in the number of people in shops.
  • Closure of high-traffic areas outside, such as the docks.

Olivier Véran should also give details on the acceleration of the vaccination campaign for this month of March. The Minister of Health is targeting 6 million French people vaccinated.

Note that the executive wants to draw prospects for a way out of the crisis. The government spokesperson said he hoped for a “return to a more normal life perhaps from mid-April”, thanks to the effect of the vaccination to alleviate hospital pressure.
