The information was given by Interior Minister Lambert Noel Matha on Friday May 5th.

The revision operation of the electoral lists which will take place from Tuesday, May 09, 2023, concerns Gabonese citizens “who have just reached the voting age, 18 years old and those of voters who wish to change polling places”, underlined the member of the government who also added that this “revision counts for the election of the President of the Republic, the legislative and local elections scheduled to be held this year”.

To enlist, the Minister of the Interior recalled the different conditions, that is to say that, for native Gabonese, you must be 18 or over, enjoy your political rights, present a legalized birth certificate or supplementary judgment, an ordinary biometric passport, a receipt for the national identity card. And for adopted Gabonese, you must present a certificate of nationality issued by the President of the Republic or by the competent courts.

Regarding Gabonese residing abroad, a birth certificate issued by a consular authority and a transcription which is made in the first arrondissement, because it is located at the entrance to Libreville where the Léon national airport is located, are required. MBA.

Remember that this operation, which begins this month, is justified by the process of translating into law the resolutions resulting from the political consultation between the Majority and the Opposition held last February on the summons of the President of the Republic. This operation will end on June 7, 2023.
