According to CNN and the Washington Post (WP) on the 26th (local time), the documentary ‘The Tour 23’ was released for the first time on Amazon Prime Video.

The fashion show of American lingerie company Victoria’s Secret was popular from 1995 to 2018 for its spectacular stage with pop star performances. Numerous star models, including Heidi Klum, Gisele Bündchen, and Miranda Kerr, received attention as ‘Victoria’s Secret’s Angels.’

However, it was criticized for commercializing women and promoting the prejudice that thin bodies are beautiful, and suffered negative effects such as falling viewership ratings and sales. In addition, it was abolished at the end of 2018 amid suspicions of links to Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire financier who committed sexual crimes against minors.

The documentary released this time includes collections presented by independent designers in four cities, including Lagos in Nigeria, Tokyo in Japan, Bogota in Colombia, and London in the UK.

Models Naomi Campbell and Adriana Lima, former Victoria’s Secret angels, appeared and emphasized that the brand has changed from the past.

In particular, the lingerie design by designer Michaela Starck, who presented this lingerie collection, does not hide belly fat, but rather emphasizes it.

In the documentary, Stark said, “When I was in high school, (the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show) was huge, and there was a culture of not wanting to eat anything after watching it.”

Stark also posted a photo of a ‘plus-size’ model with angel wings on her Instagram, saying, “I wanted to prove that angels can represent all women. It would break down the roots of my childhood insecurities and body dysmorphia. “I was thrilled to have the opportunity,” he said.

Prior to the premiere, the documentary also introduces 20 creators and artists, including female designers, film directors, and dancers, from each country.

In addition to this documentary, Victoria’s Secret is reportedly working on a new funding plan for female artists and entrepreneurs.
