The Return of the Audi RS6 Sedan: Now as an Electric Car in 2025

After a break of more than 10 years, the Audi RS6 sedan, which will be available as an electric car in the future, is about to return to customers. British car media informs about it Autocar, citing your sources.

The RS6 can be bought today as a station wagon, and it has been that way for a long time – Audi stopped production of the sedan back in 2010. At the time, it was very similar to the Audi R8 and Lamborghini Gallardo, sharing the same V10 engine. It is planned that the electric RS6 will arrive at customers in 2025, or a year after the regular A6 e-tron reaches dealerships. The sporty RS6 electric car has already been seen in tests and it should be more powerful than the currently available model with an internal combustion engine – currently the car develops 591 horsepower.

Like the regular A6 e-tron, the electric version of the RS6 is built on the new PPE platform jointly developed by Audi and Porsche. The first model on this platform to go into series production will be the new Porsche Macan EV, which will make its official debut closer to the end of the year.

Audi promises that the A6 e-tron will be able to charge with a power of 270kW, which is significantly more than other current cars from Audi and the entire Volkswagen Group, except for the Audi e-tron GT and the Porsche Taycan. Presumably, similar capabilities will be provided to the RS6 as well. Experts of the foreign car industry predict that this model will develop more than 700 horsepower, but the run-up to for a hundred will take less than 3 seconds.
