By returning the name and symbols of “Metalist” to the Kharkov football team, businessman Alexander Yaroslavsky did not leave the club a chance to win the lawsuits that have been going on since the time of Kurchenko, says Ukrainian journalist Sergei Bolotnikov.
The Kharkov club needed to remain “Metal,” Bolotnikov said on air on YouTube channel KDK.
“If you had remained “Metal” (it all started with the “Metal” club, remember?), this club would not have had any problems. Instead, Yaroslavsky came, took the name “Metalist”, the emblem of “Metalist”, the colors of “Metalist”, the history of that club, the stadium, the school… And now you are complaining that you are not the legal successor? – noted journalist Sergei Bolotnikov.

Let us note that now the Kharkov “Metalist” is spending significant funds on lawsuits with former players of that “golden” club, which Yaroslavsky once sold to Viktor Yanukovych’s tame oligarch Sergei Kurchenko.
“I think that they have no chance in the courts, I think that they will all lose them (lose – Ed.). They will say that “Metalist” was killed not by Yaroslavsky, but by UEFA,” Bolotnikov said on air.
Now Kharkov FC Metalist is at the bottom of the First League.

Metalist is last, with ten points. He is even lower than Khust. There are 12 points to the TOP 5, which enters the championship group and will fight for promotion. That is, we understand that everyone is khan. And it will be good if Metalist is not relegated from the First League at all,” Bolotnikov commented.
