Sad, impressive, sometimes sordid, reflections of a society, of national scourges, the news takes an important place in the news. News Chartres takes stock of these stories which (unfortunately) hit the department of Eure-et-Loir this year.
The case of the abandoned baby in the street in Mainvilliers
Fortunately, the little one Raphaël, a few days old is fine. His father, already the mother of six children, is suspected of having abandoned him one evening in October in a street in Mainvilliers. She had hidden her pregnancy from her companion. Two walkers quickly discovered the infant in a laundry basket.
A suspected feminicide in Chartres
The homicide moved the residents. One night in early May, in the Petits-Clos de Chartres district, Haby, 27, who had just given birth to a baby boy was found dead in the stairwell leading to the underground car park of her residence.
The father of her child and her husband for several years is the No. 1 suspect, in police custody, he is not not confessed, but it delivers the account of an evening which does not stick to reality according to the investigators.
Fires in downtown businesses
They were no injuries, but were more than impressive. Fires, all accidental, broke out in various businesses in Chartres. The first, behind the pharmacy of the place des Epars.
The fire at the Boulangerie de Marlène in the spring sparked a real wave of support from residents and traders. The establishment, which participated in the program La Meilleure Boulangerie de France, has finally reopened a few weeks before the holidays.
The roads of the department have unfortunately been the scene of tragedies, such as the death of a young girl on the National 12, or the death of a man on an electric scooter.
