The team went to Nagan Raya last Thursday to take saliva and blood samples from 36 buffalo and cows.

The head of the Nagan Raya Agriculture and Livestock Agency (Distannak), Tarmizi SP, was asked by Serambinews.com on Sunday, saying that the results of the livestock samples examined had not yet been released. “The team said that the results will come out in 4 days at the earliest. But it could also be more,” he explained.

It is said, livestock that have symptoms that are sampled are now placed in special locations and remain under the supervision of the Nagan Raya Distannak.

There were three locations that were sampled to determine whether or not they were exposed to FMD.

According to Tarmizi, so far Nagan Raya, although there have been symptoms found, but none have tested positive.

In addition, the symptoms are also no cattle, either buffalo or cows that die. “We are still waiting for the results,” he said.

The steps that are currently being carried out, said Tarmizi, are for livestock by providing good vitamins available at the service and non-governmental organizations.

The vaccine for livestock from a report at the Ministry of Agriculture will only be available in August 2022.

The Head of Agriculture and Livestock of Nagan Raya said that socialization is also being carried out by the Distannak team in collaboration with the Nagan Raya Police.
