The results of the AFF decision on the Vietnam vs. Thailand Elephant Football allegation

WARTABANJAR.COM, JAKARTA – The South East Asian Football Association (AFF) has finally responded to the letter from PSSI regarding the match between Vietnam and Thailand in the Preliminary Round of Group A of the U-19 AFF Cup at Madya Stadium, Jakarta on July 10, 2022.

At this point, PSSI did not consider this game fair, especially after the 80th minute when both teams were reluctant to attack.

The match ended 1-1 and resulted in Indonesia failing to reach the semi-finals. PSSI then wrote a letter to the AFF to ask if the game was fair or not.

AFF also thanked PSSI for raising this issue so that AFF could learn from different perspectives.

“We thank AFF for replying to PSSI’s official letter. After the official letter from the AFF, we (PSSI) accepted the decision. Basically, the letter just wanted to question whether the game was fair or not. Now everything is clear and there are no more problems,” said national team manager Endri Erawan. (edj)
