For the fifth day of the UEFA Nations League, two pillars of the Neapolitan midfield took the field with their respective national teams: Piotr Zielinski It’s Stanislav Lobotka. Unfortunately, for both of them, it was not a happy evening: the Poland was defeated 2-0 by the Netherlands by Van Gaal, while the Slovakia from Lobotka suffered a heavy 2-1 defeatat home, against Azerbaijan.
The Polish midfielder expressed his disappointment with the final result during the post-match. Here are his statements:
“I think some things in this match have been good on our part. We conceded the second goal in our prime. There have been some good plays and counter-attacks on our part, but we have to recognize the skill of our opponents this evening ”.
The former Empoli left the field at minute 86, being among the best of his team, despite the defeat.
The whole game on the pitch for Lobotka. His Slovakia needs a decisive change of course given the latest results in the competition: only two 1-0 wins against Belarus and Azerbaijan, leading the national team coached by the former Napoli Calzona just 6 points.
