The restylng of Torre Flavia refinanced twice

LADISPOLI – Once one loan is lost, another is found. The increase in the prices of raw materials, which led the Municipality to take out a loan from Cassa Depositi e Prestiti for 730 thousand euros, and “other procedural factors” which caused “the postponement of the times for awarding the works, which occurred in June 2023, with respect to the obligations established in the roadmap”, … These are the “ingredients” that caused the Municipality of Ladispoli to lose the financing for the restyling of Torre Flavia deriving from the Beauty Decree. And so from Palazzo Falcone they decided to take action by asking for help from the Lazio Region which with a resolution dated October 10th refinanced «the restoration of Torre Flavia through the reprogramming of the funds of the Development and Cohesion Plan», as explained by the mayor Alessandro Grando who spoke of an «important project, on which we worked in close synergy with the municipal offices to complete the complex bureaucratic procedures, above all obtaining the necessary opinions from the higher-level bodies». Now, having had the green light from Pisana, all that remains is to wait for the definitive approval from the Supervisory Committee – the mayor further explained – after which we will finally be able to proceed with the signing of the contract and subsequently with the start of the works, which will transform Torre Flavia into a small museum on the sea. On behalf of the City of Ladispoli – concluded Grando – I thank the regional Administration and in particular the Councilor Giancarlo Righini, holder of the powers for the Budget and Economic Planning, who strongly wanted this project to be brought to completion”. And the regional councilor for Budget and Economic Planning of Pisana, Giancarlo Righini, once again commented on the regional resolution: «We felt it was our duty to take charge of the restoration of one of the symbolic places of the regional cultural heritage so that it becomes available to the city of Ladispoli as soon as possible. and of all the citizens of Lazio”.
