The “Restlessness” festival will take place this Saturday

To say goodbye to summer with a heavy bang and loud elegance, this Saturday, September 4, the bar “Nemiers” in Aristīda Briāna Street, Valdemārs arcade, will offer the powerful “Nemiera Festival 2021” – it will take place for the sixth year in a row.

The “Anxiety Festival” has brought visitors of all ages closer every year, and this year will be no exception. “The offer of rock music will be mixed with a busy and variegated range of activities, offering visitors not only to fully immerse themselves in the euphoria provided by heavy groups, but also to catch extraordinary adventures without leaving the festival territory,” the organizers tempt.

At the moment, it is even difficult to say which group is intended as the “hedliner” of the event – from the general atmosphere of the festival, it is as if this honor belongs more to the local “death’n’roll” leaders, one of the strongest Latvian heavy music concert groups “Sanctimony”. But the shoegaze band Tribes Of The City, whose latest album Rust And Gold received the Austrian Award for Best Record in Latvia in 2019, could just as well play the role of the main band – even hard to remember when TOTC was last heard. in full composition and “live”, it seems that it could have been six years ago at the festival “Positivus”. It is possible that during the “Anxiety” festival, the band could also play some of their latest songs. Other participants of the festival – “Fools On Parade”, “Sever”, “Mindesign” and “Bloody Heels”.

To brighten the overall picture of the event, it will be complemented by Shibari (Japanese aesthetic-erotic binding art), Olaf Taube with his creative team and a touch of ink will tattoo a calm or restless design of your choice, while a special workshop will provide the opportunity to print clothing with “Anxiety” symbols. DJ Johnson, surrounded by legends and myths, will help maintain the mood of the overall festival throughout the day.

Admission is only for persons vaccinated with certificates or Covid-19 patients, so the “green” level of security will be observed during the festival. Admission is free for children under 12 years of age.
