From now on, the dispensing windows will also have to be closed. Of these, operators will no longer be able to sell alcohol even during the day. At the same time, the government banned the consumption of alcohol in public throughout the day.

According to Blatný, this is a reaction to the behavior of restaurants and people who, after the closing time of restaurants and bars after 22 hours, stayed on the spot and consumed alcohol from the dispensing windows. People were gathering in front of businesses.

“These measures are intended to increase the likelihood that the measures will be complied with. They will be valid from Wednesday, “said the minister.

The Czechia will not make it to four yet
At the same time, Blatný called on transport companies to strengthen public transport connections so that people would not accumulate in them, especially in the evening.

On the other hand, the government has decided that the Czechia will continue to be in the third degree for the time being, and will not return to the fourth, even though the risk index within the PES anti-epidemic system has corresponded to this for the last two days.

In the fourth stage, shops (except for those with basic needs), restaurants and services must be closed in general.

“If we evaluate all the data and information, we will not yet propose a transition to level four, even if tomorrow the score is above 60. We will continue to monitor the situation,” said Minister Blatný after the government meeting.
