Profile Ma Zhongying
Ma Zhongying, also known as Ma Chung-ying, was originally just an ordinary army officer. He was born around 1910 in Ho-chou, Kansu, China.
Citing the PeoplePill page, Zhongying first joined the Muslim militia around 1924. Referring to the approximate year of his birth, at that time he was only about 14 years old.
As a militiaman, he was involved in a rebellion against Feng Yuxiang’s Guominjun troops in Gansu.
Not only that, on several occasions Zhongying also had to fight against his own relatives who served Guominjun, including his uncle named Ma Lin.
However, some time later Zhongying was actually removed from his position as commander. This happened because he acted without orders when attacking Hezhou.
However, he didn’t give up easily. Together with his loyal troops, he continued his journey.
Zhongying and his troops captured the capital Gansu from Guominjun in April 1929. Unfortunately, this did not last long after the enemy recaptured it.
