The company SIA “Abora” has won the procurement. The company also won a tender for the construction of the Liepāja prison earlier, but no contract was signed with it because the government was unable to reach an agreement on the construction of the prison.
Abora is also one of the companies involved in the criminal proceedings initiated in 2019 by the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) for possible bribery and a builders’ cartel.
Last year, Abora had a turnover of 20,665,000 euros and a profit of 514,924 euros.
