There is still no consensus on vaccinating the displaced. Now, the Balearic Islands have joined to dispense doses to those who are on the islands for work reasons or force majeure. It is the second community to do so after Valencia, which started a few weeks ago
To get vaccinated you have to ask for the displacement card. It is requested in the health center of the destination and it is necessary present the DNI and the usual Health Card. In addition, it is important to remember that it is not for those who spend a few days away, but for a long-lasting stay.
Balearic requirements
The Valencian Community now joins the Balearic Islands. For displaced people a minimum of 3 months for work or family reasons, such as caring for a family member or dependents. Before arriving at your destination, for greater peace of mind, you can check from home. One of the two requirements must be met.
The first, having work reasons as an employment contract to be developed on the islands. The second, having family reasons. In this sense, both family reunification and having to care for a dependent person are contemplated.
The other condition to access the vaccine as a displaced person is to reside, at least, for 3 months on the islands. This group also includes those who have a second residence in the archipelago and are going to spend the holidays.
The Valencian Community, pioneer
The Valencian Community has been the pioneer and already has vaccinated more than 100,000 people who do not live regularly in the region. For this reason, the Government of Ximo Puig has also asked the Executive of Pedro Sánchez a compensation plan so that the necessary doses are guaranteed with which also immunize the inhabitants of Valencia, Castellón and Alicante.
