They were said to be close to the outgoing mayor, Michel Dantin. On the contrary! Chambéry, the local leaders of the Republic want to present their candidate in March. Indeed they have already found it in the person of Christian Saint-André, lawyer at the bar of the city of the Dukes and early activist.
It is up to him to work on a project and build a team. The lawyer already has an idea of him, endorsed by the party’s departmental contact person, Esman Ergul: “We want to open a space of convergence open to all”. Clearly: priority will be given to new faces, first-time candidates.
It remains to be seen how the governing bodies of the movement will welcome this initiative, for now only local. In fact, despite being a candidate, Christian Saint-André will have to obtain the approval of the national nominating commission of the party if he wants to continue his adventure.
