The representative of Marfuši from the legendary fairy tale Mrázik succumbed to a long illness, the website reported Interfax. Actress Inna Čurikova was 79 years old. “Inna died today after a long illness,” said the director of Moscow’s Lenkom theater Mark Veršavěr on Saturday.
In addition to the film, the famous actress introduced herself to the audience in the theater as well. She last appeared on the silver screen in the Russian film Mint Gingerbread. Her most famous role was Marfuša in the popular fairy tale Mrázik.
Čurikova should be buried in one of the most important Moscow cemeteries. “As for the funeral, the theater requests that it be of course the Novoděvičín cemetery, because she was a really great actress,” he said according to the agency Ria Novosti Warsaw. Among other things, Čurikova was a recipient of the French Order of Arts and Letters.
