The renovation of Chemin de Moulares will soon begin

The Moulares path will undergo work from March 29 and this for a period of five weeks, in agreement with the various partners. All residents will be informed by mail in their letterbox. A preparatory meeting was recently held on site, in the presence of the project manager, the works supervisor, TP Sonerm and Christian Amat, the deputy in charge of the file.

“The municipality adheres to the green building site approach, the stake of which is to limit nuisances for the benefit of residents, stakeholders and the environment.” Christian Amat, takes stock of all the networks linked to this work.

Priority to pedestrians with a speed of 20 km / h

Shared area: an information meeting was held in October 2020 with local residents who came in large numbers. The latter wanted the area starting from Chemin de Moulares, passing by Allée du Roucayrol (new Les terrasses de la Tour subdivision) and going up on Chemin de la Tour-de-Vias, to be shared, assigned to traffic. all users; pedestrians having priority over vehicles. The choice was also defined on maintaining a two-way movement but limited to 20 km / h.

Networks: In 2020, the renovation of the sanitation network was initiated by the CCGPSL, having the competence, and the dry networks (electricity, telephone, etc.) by Hérault Energy in order to eliminate air pollution.

Public lighting : to reduce consumption, streetlights fitted with led bulbs have been installed: 36 kW / hr decreasing by 16.5% from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Cost: municipal share, € 66,616.41 and Hérault Énergie, € 109,131.39.

Roads: the works concern 280 m of road network to be adapted, because it also includes landscape improvements. Cost: € 223,773.

Signage: Signage will be put in place to ensure cohesion on this limitation and allow all mobility practices to coexist.

More generally, the deputy mayor specifies that “the municipality has initiated a census of the work to be carried out on all of its municipal roads: coatings, sidewalks, dry underground network, rainwater network, signage, safety …”

These censuses will then be followed by financial estimates which will enable the city council to consider and schedule the work.
