The renewal of the History and Art Museum of Bormes-les-Mimosas

When new technologies put themselves at the service of the discovery of the past: The Museum of History and Art of Bormes-les-Mimosas, freshly renovated, offers you an immersive journey with its permanent exhibition entirely designed around its collections thanks to augmented reality. Since this summer, the visit can be followed in Provençal on a tablet, and this is a first in the region.

« It is a museum which presents the 2400 years of history and art of Bormes-les-Mimosas», explains Laury Mourosque, the head of the museum. “Each visitor is given a ”histopad” which functions like a digital book and we have added among the 6 languages ​​available, the Provençal language which has a touching side for the locals. We learn a lot about the history of the city, we also have fun rediscovering Provençal. »

The Museum of History and Art of Bormes-les-Mimosas is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
