The 32-year-old enjoyed a training session at the hotel’s iconic helipad while promoting the Dubai Fitness Challenge.

While the venue seems like an unlikely choice, it has hosted sporting events in the past.

Rory McIlroy walked off the helipad, David Coulthard made donuts in an F1 car there, and Roger Federer even played a tennis match against Andre Agassi.

More recently, there was talk of YouTube sensation Money Kicks fighting Floyd Mayweather on top of the hotel.

Many fans have certainly been excited by the prospect.

One fan jokingly wrote: “while the fury will be fighting in the york hall levels 😭”

LOGISTICS CHALLENGES

Others have pointed to the logistical challenges hosting such a big fight there would present.

One commented: “It would be unique and interesting, but it could barely sell tickets. It would be like the lockdown period.”

“AJ is possibly the second biggest ticket seller in boxing. Why would Ed pass up an opportunity to make some decent money?

While another noted: “I was there on Sunday, I could tell first hand this would be very challenging.

“How would they cover security, guests and the global media when it comes to a hotel?”
