Despite his age, the trilogy belongs Dead Space still to the best of sci-fi horror in the gaming industry ever. The adventures of the technician Isaac Clark, who must survive on space stations inhabited by mutated necromorphs, still excel in their terrifying atmosphere and explicit depiction of brutality.

The developers put in a lot of work with the detailed processing of the shooting of the limbs.

The authors of the planned remake are aware of this and it is precisely on these factors that they care the most. Thanks to the Frostbite Engine, they can afford to completely redo the lighting, which, even with the help of ray tracing, will make well-known locations even a little scarier. Only the manic detail of the iconic mechanics of blasting various parts of enemies, which the authors cynically call “peeling.”

The new demonstration showed how the projectile literally tears the flesh from the bones, and in the full version, such details are taken into account that the shot limb does not just have to fly far, but stays flat on the skin.

Thanks to the improved lighting, the game will change beyond recognition. Left original, right same scene from the remake.

In addition to these tweaks, however, the developers want to be as faithful to the original as possible. They work closely with the fans on the development and adjust the game according to their feedback. Therefore, we do not have to be afraid of any changes in the story, which is said to be perfect as it is, in some cases it will deepen it a bit. To make the experience as faithful as possible, Gunner Wright, the protagonist’s drummer, will also return.

Unfortunately, the presentation repeatedly stated that there is still a lot of work to be done on the game, so it is more than likely that we will not see it next year either.
