Football Manager 25 will be a breath of fresh air for the series as it will contain significant innovations. Among the most important are women’s football, with many new female players, teams and competitions being integrated into the new game. The development studio has abandoned the previous engine and is now using the Unity engine to offer players more realistic graphics and a more immersive experience.

A few months longer in development
Sports Interactive has announced the release of Football Manager 25 to March 2025 delaywhich is almost half a year later than the expected date. The development studio has revealed that it needs more time for fine-tuning as the introduction of the new features is taking longer than originally expected. In order to be able to offer players an appropriate level of quality, they will have to work for a few more months to bring the game’s performance up to the intended standard.
This was of course an unpleasant surprise for everyone Football Manager 25 pre-ordered, especially for those who really wanted to know more about a possible Anticipated Access period on PC/Mac. The studio will maintain this time period for those eligible, but it will be moved back in time to coincide with the new release date.
