Next Tuesday, August 29, the registration period for citizens to vote in the 2023 territorial elections ends, for this reason the National Registry of Civil Status extended its opening hours from last Tuesday, August 22, until the day of closing of registrations, in the offices of the country’s Registry and in the Mobile Registration Points enabled at the national level.
The extension of the opening hours includes the provision of the citizen registration service this Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the headquarters of the special, municipal, and auxiliary registry offices, as well as as in the Mobile Registration Points. Next Monday, August 28 and Tuesday, August 29, citizens will be served at the same time, both at the registry offices and at the Mobile Registration Points.
The entity recalled that only citizens who have changed their place of residence and want to update their polling station should register, as well as foreigners residing in Colombia, with a minimum of five years of residence, who wish to participate in this election day and have an identity card. Aliens with resident status in current status, issued by Colombia Migration.
The registration process will be reflected once the electoral census for these elections is established, that is, after September 29, 2023.
