With average price at 1.19 euros per liter the distribution of heating oil for this year has begun. In several regions, however, its price is more expensive, a fact that requires market research by consumers before proceeding with their order. Specifically, at Glyfada it costs 1.25 euros/literas well as in Karytaina Arcadia, while in Andros the price climbs to 1.28 euros/liter. It is also more expensive at Samothrace with a price of 1.38, at Patmos with 1.52 and at Hook with 1.45.
Last year – according to the data of the Price Observatory of the Ministry of Development – the nationwide average price of heating oil at the beginning of the period was 1.425 euros per liter (in Attica 1.4 euros) and in 2022 it was respectively 1.409 euros nationwide and in Attica at 1,379 euros.
Market sources said consumption figures for April, at the end of the heating season, show that the majority of consumers have not stockpiled oil for next winter. They estimate that despite the fact that the weather still does not force the oil market, those who believe that there is a risk of an increase in international prices will rush to order.
