On the fourth day of celebrations for the Fifth Anniversary of the region, San Carlos received a gigantic puppet show representing prominent figures from Ñuble such as Claudio Arrau, Marta Colvin and Gonzalo Rojas.
The event, which was called “Gigantes de Ñuble”, took place at the Unión de San Carlos Sports Gymnasium on Monday afternoon with a puppet parade that was accompanied by music and dances attended by students from different educational establishments in the commune .
During the activity, the governor of Ñuble, Óscar Crisóstomo, commented: “we are enjoying the five years of life of the Ñuble Region throughout our territory, now we were with about 500 boys and girls from San Carlos enjoying the giants of Ñuble , Marta Colvin, Gonzalo Rojas and other characters who have given life and shape to the cultural heritage and also to the identity of our region, therefore, we are going to continue with this same force impregnating not only in some places, but in all our territory with these five years of life that allow us to project ourselves into the future and what better way to do it than with those who are going to be protagonists in another time of the future of our Ñuble Region, such as our boys and girls”.
Meanwhile, the regional director of Sernatur, Augusto González, commented on the “spectacular audience framework to be able to continue with the activities of the region’s anniversary and the launch of our brand, a brand that convenes, that shows the entire regional territory and invites people to visit us. Today we wanted to emphasize the cultural field, one of the attributes that people value the most when they refer to our region, that is why popular figures and also historical figures from the Ñuble Region will accompany us, exemplified in these giants who are going to parade and they are going to make us dance”.
The celebratory activities continue during the week ending in Coelemu with a children’s show on the morning of Thursday, September 7, and in Chillán Viejo with Nueva Ola singers in the afternoon.
