A forum on “105 years of National Assembly of TPK” was held in Burgas Regional Administration. A round table was held within the forum and a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Burgas Regional Administration, the National Union of Labor-Productive Cooperatives and the District Union of Labor-Productive Cooperatives-Burgas.
The regional governor Prof. Maria Neikova noted the fundamental importance of the National Union of Labor-Productive Cooperatives and its members for the development of the social and solidarity economy sector.
For his part, the chairman of the National Assembly of the TPK Assoc. Vladislav Lazarov thanked the regional governor for his involvement in the activity of the National Assembly of the TPK and expressed confidence that the cooperation with the Burgas Regional Administration will develop and lead to real results.
The scope of the Memorandum includes the development of projects under European, national and local programs, participation in charitable initiatives for social homes, kindergartens, schools, initiatives for the integration of people with disabilities in the Burgas region with a view to their real inclusion in the production process and their social adaptation , as well as organizing trade forums, bazaars, exhibitions, fairs, etc.
The signatures were signed by the regional governor Prof. Maria Neikova, the chairman of the National Assembly of TPK Assoc. Vladislav Lazarov and the chairman of the Board of Directors of TPK Georgi Zhelev.
Later that day, a documentary exhibition “105 years since the establishment of the National Union of Labor-Productive Cooperatives in Bulgaria” was presented.
Burgas is the second city, after Sofia, in which the exposition is visiting. The exhibition is on display at the Center for the Support of Social Enterprises in Burgas and was opened by Prof. Neikova.
“It is my pleasure to open the exhibition, which presents the rich history of the National Assembly of TPK, its development in separate historical periods, as well as its current activity, as an expression of the interests of labor-productive cooperatives, labor-productive cooperatives of people with disabilities, the regional cooperative unions and other cooperative organizations,” said the regional governor in his welcome.
Prof. Vladislav Lazarov thanked for the provided opportunity to present the history of the organization after Sofia and in Burgas.
“For 105 years now, the Union has managed to preserve and develop its true essence – to be a national union of labor-producing cooperatives, labor-producing cooperatives of people with disabilities and other cooperative organizations in Bulgaria,” he emphasized.
