The regional care service has been taking care of outpatient care for 25 years. This Saturday is the open day in the premises on the Haid.
The regional care service Breisgau celebrates its 25th anniversary. The company takes care of outpatient care and offers a multi-generational housing project on the Haid in which inclusive shared accommodation, day care and a supportive living concept are offered from a single source. The cornerstone for the nursing service was laid in Gundelfingen in 1997. What started out as a small outpatient nursing service with three employees and ten customers has developed into a medium-sized company with almost 90 employees and more than 300 customers. Nursing shortages, shortage of skilled workers, demographic change – nursing in Germany is facing major challenges and the demand for professional nursing is constantly increasing, according to the regional nursing service. At the same time, however, the number of nursing professionals and nurses is falling. “This poses great challenges for outpatient care services like us. The question we have to ask ourselves is: How can we compensate for this development in demand in the long term and with foresight?” says Managing Director Kyrill Kreuzer. Nevertheless, the company sees itself well prepared for these challenges and looks to the future with optimism, emphasizes his colleague Dietmar Wasmuth.
Since August 2021, the regional care service has been offering the multi-generational housing project “GemeinsamHAID” at Rankackerweg 24-26. Outpatient care, day care, communal living and assisted living are all combined under one roof. The company is celebrating its anniversary on Saturday, July 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with an open day. All proceeds go to the association for children with cancer.
