The Region signs an “innovative and innovative” Challenge agreement

The Centre-Val de Loire region continues to sign Challenge agreements (Development of Employment through Inclusive Training) with companies that are hiring.

These initiatives take another turn with the signing, on Wednesday, January 19, of a Linguistic Challenge agreement. A first in the area. A project that aims to be “innovative and innovative” according to Marie Pierre Gahéry, director of the Instep Léo Lagrange training organization. This training, which is both linguistic and professionalizing, should allow the twelve trainees to access the profession of order picker.

“We are very proud to take up this first linguistic challenge. »

Jean-Francois Bridet (Vice-President of the Regional Council)

Seven partners are ready to take up this Challenge. Among them, the Region, Pole Emploi, Instep, Humando, Ofii, Cria 28 and Aftral, who will support the twelve job seekers, including one woman, benefiting from international protection.

At the rate of seven hours of French per day, i.e. 35 hours per week, the first objective of this training is that the beneficiaries “master the basics of French and the technical vocabulary”, specific to the trades of order pickers. The group, aged 22 to 34, has an A1 and B1 language level according to Kathy Jack, the trainer. “It’s gratifying to work with them, every day, they progress enormously. »

“The Region supports an approach to better welcome and integrate these beneficiaries into society. Giving them the keys to communication and the French language is the first part of integration. »

Jean-Francois Bridet (Vice-president of the Regional Council)

The training began on December 20. “This is only the first step in a long journey,” emphasizes the director of the training institute.
The twelve job seekers will integrate, on March 7, thanks to linguistic acquisitions, a professional title of order picker, with Aftral, one of the partners and will sign at the same time, a professionalization contract. The trainees also have social and administrative support, recalls Marie-Pierre Gahéry, to “devote themselves fully to their training”.

At the end of this month and a half of training, the twelve beneficiaries will be able to “take the road to employment in this sector which is recruiting and in the companies that await them”, underlines Michaël Georget, representative of Aftral. They will leave training with a diploma in French “to enhance skills”.

This first on the territory is in the experimental phase but it could be that the extension to other cities of the department, is on the right track. Caroline Ferré, territorial delegate for training suggests that an identical project is being built in Dreux.

“The reflection is well advanced. The signature of the agreement could see the light of day by the first half of 2022, with the same partners, but this time, with the Blanchard training center. »
