England’s Professional Referees Committee said on Monday that the assistant referee, who appeared to attempt to elbow Liverpool’s Andy Robertson, would not officiate a match until the matter was completed.

And a snapshot appeared of Liverpool defender Robertson heading towards Constantine Hatzidakis to object between the two halves of the match that took place on Sunday, and it appeared in the video clips that the referee pushed the player with his elbow and continued his way.

The committee said in a statement: The Referees Committee will not appoint Constantine Hatzidakis to any match in its competitions during the FA investigation into the incident involving assistant referee and Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson at Anfield.

Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp said after the 2-2 draw with leaders Arsenal that he had not witnessed the incident although he had heard that something had happened.
