Proposals regarding the planned changes for paid parking in Burgas were presented today by “Vazrazhdane” at a special press conference, with the participation of People’s Representative Boris Aladzhov.

Regarding the planned change for paid parking in Burgas, which would create a “super center” zone, with limited parking time and more expensive charging, municipal councilor Mariyan Ivanov pointed out:
“Our view is that this will not solve the parking problem because it will lead to an avalanche increase in this area, on the principle of the ‘blue zone’.” We proposed that its borders be reduced to “Vasil Levski” Street, so that the nearby parking lots can accommodate the cars and that it be launched only as a test to see its effect,” added Mariyan Ivanov.
He pointed out that for now the proposal of “Vazrazhdane” that a neighborhood should be one paid parking zone, and not be divided into sub-zones, so that citizens who pay a subscription, can also park in streets adjacent to their homes, has been positively received. in the absence of seats.
“Vazrazhdane” will also organize a public discussion of the proposals so that the opinion of the citizens of Burgas can be heard.
Regarding the regional policy of “Vazrazhdane”, the municipal councilor Victoria Varbanova pointed out again that the fight against the demographic crisis announced by Mayor Nikolov was not implemented in his budget.
“Our proposed increases in the amounts to support parents at childbirth and for in vitro procedures were not accepted because there was no need for it and conservative approaches were used in the preparation of the budget. When you are fighting the demographic crisis, there is no room for conservative approaches,” Varbanova believes.
Her colleague Marijan Ivanov added that the first report of “Vazrazhdane” was accepted – for the repair of the children’s playground in “Gorno Ezerovo” and they expect it to be implemented.
