The Red Cross-Edomex prepares vaccines against Covid-19

President of the Board of Directors of the Red Cross in the State of Mexico, Mario Vázquez Torreshas announced that the worthy institution will try to get vaccines against Covid-19, to offer the biological at a more affordable price than what pharmacies have.

In a message within the framework of the start of the vaccination campaign for the cold season, he pointed out that the intention the Pfizer vaccine and being able to give it to the population despite the dangers of the winter season.


He remembered that the Red Cross of the State of Mexico offered the antigen to the population against SAR-Cov-2 and explained that the cost of the vaccine for the population last year was 900 pesos and the batch received by the institution in Toluca was doses 1,600.

Without specifying at the moment how much those interested in applying the vaccine will have to pay, he said that this year it is expected to be the same as 2023 or if a little more is possible, the better.

He pointed out that the sensitive spirit that characterizes the Red Cross will again be on the issue of vaccines, since the price offered to the interested population is lower than those regulated by commercial pharmacies.

He said that if the process to obtain vaccines against Covid-19 is strengthened again and the Red Cross is able to provide the biological, he suggested that the people who received the Pfizer dose will come forward with it that the antigen must be obtained annually.
