The recycling centers are gradually reopening in Wallonia on Tuesday: all the details

The recyparcs have received the green light to reopen after consultation between intermunicipal associations, Union of Cities and Municipalities and unions. It is a partial and gradual reopening, and the situation varies from region to region. A circular has nevertheless been distributed to the intermunicipal companies: it sets the guidelines for the reopening.

Conditions should be more or less the same everywhere: wearing a mask, only bulky and green waste, limited number of people and passages, presence of the police or peacekeepers, measures of social distancing.

Here are the details:

Namur: all parks reopen this Tuesday. Modified hours (10-17), wearing a mask, visit once a week with a maximum of 1m3 of waste (green, paper, cardboard, bulky items and wood). The police will be present to ensure a good organization since we expect a certain crowd.

Cork : most reopen no later than Wednesday. The static presence of police officers is a sine qua condition not required by Intradel. Request rejected as a whole by the conference of elected Huy-Waremme. The 31 mayors refused to mobilize men while the police had to carry out control missions in the rest of the territory. Other conditions: wearing a mask, limited visits / people / waste and social distancing.

Picardy Wallonia and south of Hainaut (Ipalle): some centers reopen Monday, 1 p.m. Only visits of absolute necessity (more space available at home, inability to make mulch or compost, etc.). The recyparcs will be reopened gradually, depending on the availability of agents, carriers and processing centers. Police support. Access only by appointment.

Walloon Brabant : no reopening before Wednesday for 16 of the 17 parks. Visits are by appointment only. One type of waste per passage. Either green waste or paper-cardboard. Access reserved for individuals, not for small businesses. Wearing a mandatory mask and respecting distances

Luxembourg : no clear decision yet, but it will become clear in the coming days. There is talk of a reopening next Thursday.

Charleroi : 6 recyparcs could reopen this Tuesday, April 21, only for green waste (branches and grass clippings), wood and bulky items.

Brussels : they have always remained open.
