His departure had been mentioned for several days, it is now confirmed: Jean-Marc Huart leaves the Nancy-Metz academy to become the chief of staff of the new Minister of National Education Pap Ndiaye. His appointment is published this Thursday, May 26, in the Official Journal.
Management of the epidemic and major reforms
His passage in Lorraine will obviously have been marked by the Covid-19 epidemic, the implementation of numerous health protocols in schools and the organization of educational continuity during the various periods of confinement. He will also have implemented in our department several significant reforms by Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer, such as that of the new baccalaureate.
Close to Jean-Michel Blanquer
For Jean-Marc Huart, this promotion is also a return to Rue de Grenelle, which he left in 2019 for Lorraine. Reputed to be close to Jean-Michel Blanquer, he then held the strategic position of Director General of School Education (Dgesco) since 2017. After entering the rectorate of Bordeaux (2002-2007), he then worked with Xavier Darcos, Minister of National Education, before continuing his career at the ministry until his departure for the Nancy-Metz Academy. This appointment caused a reaction among the teachers who saw in him a sign of continuity between the previous minister and his successor.
