We told you about it yesterday, the town of Louhans in Saône-et-Loire found itself under water following the rupture of an anti-flood dike. This Sunday, the situation seems to be improving, the decline that began the day before continuing without a hitch.
Passable streets again
According to The Journal of Saône-et-Loire, several routes are practicable again. This is the case with the Place de la Liberation, completely flooded yesterday, and the rue Lucien-Guillemaut.
The prefecture communicated on the descent of the waters and on the pumping operations underway this Sunday, but nevertheless invites the population to exercise caution. Indeed, the water level remains high, including in Côte-d’Or where the Saône is placed in yellow vigilance by Météo France.
A dike gives way to Sassenay
Still according to information from the JSL, a dike also gave way this Sunday in Sassenay (Saône-et-Loire). Earth has been transported to try to plug the breaches, while the mayor of the town fears for the surrounding crops.
