The reasons why NasDem decided not to join Prabowo’s cabinet

Party NasDem decided not to come in cabinet government Subianto game– Gibran Rakabuming.

The General Secretary of the NasDem Party, Hermawi Taslim, said that NasDem had taken many ideas before finally deciding not to be included in the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet.

“On the basis of considering many things, we have decided not to include them in the cabinet,” he told reporters at Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Sunday (13/10).

He argued that NasDem’s views and opinions towards the Prabowo-Gibran government were much more important than just being present in the cabinet.

“Our thoughts, what we contribute to things, will be much more meaningful than our physical presence,” he said.

Nevertheless, he said that his party would still be involved and be an inseparable part of the Prabowo-Gibran government.

Hermawi said his party’s decision not to nominate ministerial candidates was questioned by Prabowo as president-elect.

However, he said, NasDem stayed with its final decision not to enter the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet.

“Pak Prabowo once said, ‘How come NasDem has not given you a name yet? We remained silent, so it is not a matter of rejection or acceptance, but NasDem’s idea is to make other contributions besides to put people in the cabinet,” he concluded.

Before that, President-elect Prabowo Subianto admitted that he had been monitoring his ministerial candidates who would join the 2024-2029 cabinet for a long time.

According to Prabowo, these names were deposited by party leaders in the Indonesian Progressive Coalition (KIM). He claims that many of these names have potential.

Prabowo revealed that some of these names had also worked with him in the Indonesian Progressive Cabinet. He also admitted that he had held discussions with them although the process was done behind closed doors.

“So actually the investigation process has been going on for a long time, we have discussed it often so there are stages that we are not in front of the media, but that have been implemented ,” he said.
