The reason why the Toyota Innova Zenix Hybrid is selling well

PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) said about 7,200 units of the Toyota Innova Zenix have been ordered so far. Of these, 80% are of the hybrid type. Why is the Innova Hybrid Zenix selling well?

PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) Marketing Director Anton Jimmi Suwandy met at the ‘Test Drive Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid’ event in Semarang, Central Java to express his views on the matter.

According to Anton, now the people of Indonesia know the benefits of electrified vehicles and are aware of the benefits of owning an electrified vehicle.

“Firstly, it must be because this is the new Kijang, as I said, this is the upper segment, they are definitely looking for the more complete features,” said Anton.

“Secondly, as the era is carbon neutral, fuel increases, and media information compares a liter with how many km, and so on, consumers are looking forward to it. So they are very concerned about efficiency, that is also very important. So the combination of Kijang new, then the new Kijang is added, which is more efficient, lighter and the power to the wheels is also better,” said Anton.

The high number of orders for the hybrid variant didn’t just come from Jakarta. From other regions, the figures would be satisfactory.

“As far as I remember, SPK hybrid is the same as Jakarta, so it seems this hybrid has reached the regions, maybe even the district, this (Toyota Innova Zenix Hybrid) is still quite acceptable to the public,” Antonio said.

Because this (Toyota Innova Zenix Hybrid) doesn’t need any special infrastructure, so in Central Java, in total, both in big cities like Semarang or Yogjakarta and in small towns, hybrids still make up the majority of SPK,” Anton added.
