“So it is hoped that PT MRT Jakarta can play a maximum role both in providing public transportation services to the community and developing PT MRT Jakarta’s business,” he said.
The position of President Director will be filled by the former Director of Engineering and Development of PT Jakarta Propertindo (JakPro), M Aprindy. Budi said Aprindy has experience in planning and company operations.
Prior to serving as Director of JakPro, Aprindy served as Director of Corporate Strategy and Human Capital Management at PT Pembangunan Perumahan (PT PP).
“With the existing experience, it is hoped that in the future it can improve the overall performance of PT MRT Jakarta,” he explained.
Budi also ensured that the replacement of the President Director had been carried out in accordance with the procedures and provisions of the legislation. Where the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as the majority shareholder and Perumda Pasar Jaya as the minority shareholder in PT MRT Jakarta has the authority to decide on the appointment and dismissal of directors. This has been regulated in laws and regulations, including:
1. Article 3 of Government Regulation Number 54 of 2017 concerning Regional Owned Enterprises
2. Articles of Association of PT MRT Jakarta
3. Governor Regulation Number 5 of 2018 concerning Procedures for Appointment and Dismissal of Members of the Board of Directors of Regional Owned Enterprises
For information, PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) is a BUMD with 99.99% of its shares owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. While the remaining share ownership is owned by Perumda Pasar Jaya which serves public transportation with the scope of the company being the exploitation and construction of MRT infrastructure and facilities, operation and maintenance of infrastructure and facilities as well as business development and management at the station and the surrounding area (TOD).
